Intaka Tech (Pty) Ltd (“the Company”) has had the pleasure of partnering with the Spirit Foundation (originally the KiDS Foundation) this year, whose mission it is to provide opportunities for good quality education to economically disadvantaged children. The Company renewed its Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Scorecard this year and as part of the process, the Company explored options in terms of possible Socio-Economic donations. The Spirit Foundation seemed like the perfect fit once again, as its ideals to uplift and empower the youth through education is paramount to building a brighter South Africa.
The Spirit Foundation paired the Company with a young lady, who began her scholarship in Grade 8 at Wynberg Girls’ High School at the commencement of 2014. Over the course of 2014 and 2015, the scholar has proven to be a deserving one, with her academic achievements and all-round glowing reviews from her teachers. The scholar has involved herself in various activities that Wynberg Girls’ High School has to offer, including being part of the choir and on the netball team. The Company is proud of the scholar’s wonderful achievements this year.
The Company is honoured to continue its sponsorship in 2016. Therefore, in December 2015, the Company donated Thirty Two Thousand Rand to the Spirit Foundation so that the scholar may continue her education at Wynberg Girls’ High School. The sponsorship will not only cover tuition for 2016 but in addition extra lessons, textbooks, stationery, uniforms, camps, workshops and mentorship. The Company would like to wish the scholar every success for the upcoming year!
