14/07/2010
Since exhibiting at the Arab
Health Congress in Dubai
in January this year, as outlined
in the release below (dated
15/02/2010), Intaka Tech has
attended three more
conferences and exhibitions.
These were held in South Africa,
Uganda and Zambia.
Representing Intaka Tech at the events were Celso dos Santos,
Head of Gas Generation Department, and Gerald Quinlivan,
Commercial and Sales Manager - Gas Division.
African Health Facilities Innovation 2010 - Durban
The first conference and exhibition was African Health Facilities Innovation 2010,
which took place in Durban from 16 to 18 March. Its purpose was to discuss and
explore ways forward to improve patient care and hospital performance, and to
achieve excellence through the use of innovative means. At its stand at the Exhibition, Intaka Tech used information-rich posters, banners, brochures and a TV presentation to show off its Gas Generation System (GGS) which generates medical oxygen and medical air on-site, providing healthcare facilities with a cost-effective supply on demand. The Intaka Tech Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC), which is suitable for the home patient or small clinics, and helps treat patients suffering from a range of illnesses, was also demonstrated. Intaka Tech’s talk and presentation at the Conference generated interest in the company’s products and stand.
There were over 60 representatives from various organizations at this event. In addition to a number of reputable companies, the organizations included African Health Investments, the Foundation of Africa Development, the Department of Health - KwaZulu-Natal, various Ministries of Health in African countries, as well as the University of Cape Town and Wits University.
East African Medical Expo - Uganda
The East African Medical Expo was held in Kampala, Uganda from 26 April to 2 May
to heighten awareness of the highly developed health and medical facilities available
in East Africa, particularly in Nairobi. It was targeted at Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda
and Burundi, to facilitate business to business (B2B) and business to consumer
(B2C) communications on medical and health matters. This Expo is the only such event in East Africa to promote medical commerce, medical tourism and the East African common markets integration, to attract medical investment, and to support regional integration and development initiatives.
It provided an excellent platform for Intaka Tech to introduce and demonstrate its GGS and POC to the visitors. There were about 80 visitors, which included representatives from the Kenya Healthcare Federation, African Medical Investments, the Uganda Medical Association, Nairobi Hospital, Aga Khan University Hospital and a number of private hospitals.
Innovative Healthcare Delivery & Facilities Maintenance Conference & Workshop - Zambia
The most recent event Intaka Tech attended was the Innovative Healthcare Delivery
& Facilities Maintenance Conference & Workshop, which took place in Lusaka,
Zambia, on 23 and 24 June. Its objective was to improve patient care and hospital
performance within the Zambian healthcare delivery system, and to discuss the
leadership and resources needed to achieve this.In addition to exhibiting its equipment, Intaka Tech spoke on ‘Facilities and equipment management in healthcare delivery’. Over 20 delegates, representing various organizations and healthcare facilities in Zambia, attended the Conference and Workshop.
All Intaka Tech’s gas equipment is environmentally friendly, has low carbon emissions and is energy efficient. As the Intaka Tech GGSs and POCs do not make use of gas cylinders, the manufacturing, transport and delivery of cylinders is not required, thus further helping to drastically reduce the carbon footprint.
Intaka Tech’s customer service extends far beyond the sale of its equipment to include highly competent product support and customer service networks wherever its equipment is operating.
