71 Intaka Tech Water Purification Plants Headed for Angola

Intaka Tech has been awarded a R300 million contract for water purification plants to produce 78 million litres of drinking water per day, the final destination for the plants being Angola. This will help the company to achieve its mission, to pro-actively meet Africa’s urgent need for clean, potable water.

Intaka Tech, a division of the Intaka Group, manufactures and markets state-of-theart water and gas technology, in the form of the mobile Intaka Tech water purification plants, as well as its on-site gas generation systems.

The water purification plants are to be used by the Angolan Government as part of a water project called ‘Agua Para Todos’. Intaka Tech will work in conjunction with the Angolan Government to support and facilitate the project’s initiatives to provide purified, drinkable water of a quality that is in line with international standards.

Each of the water purification plants will supply 1.1 million litres of drinkable water per day. This means that an impressive total of 78 million litres of raw water will be converted into drinkable water each day, catering for the water needs of 2.6 million people on a daily basis.
