Intaka Tech embarked on an extensive medical gas pipeline system project for the Malawian Department of Health at the Queen Elisabeth Central Hospital.
The medical pipeline installation covered approximately 8 km of medical gas pipelines for oxygen, vacuum, medical air and nitrous oxide. The pipeline system covered the maternity theatres, recovery, labour ward, high dependency unit, nursery, adult emergency and various wards.
A total of 104 oxygen points, 85 vacuum, 13 air and 8 nitrous oxide points were installed. The second phase of the medical gas pipeline system project will be completed in 2019.
Intaka Tech will commission a Gas Generating System (GGS) at the Queen Elisabeth Hospital once the piping project and hospital building alterations are complete.
