Partners in Health issued a tender advertised on the 31st of March 2022 for the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Medical Gas Piping and Outlets, Oxygen Manifold, Vacuum Pumps, and Medical Air System, which was awarded to Intaka on the 10th of October 2022.
Intaka designed and manufactured a containerized medical air system capable of producing 890 l/min of medical air at 400kPa, which also included a vacuum Plant at 315 l/min @ -70 Kpa. The containerized plant was placed onto an existing extended plinth and under a large roof covering. A 2 x 8 oxygen cylinder manifold was installed alongside the containerized plant.
Intaka’s medical gas installers also installed 852 meters of medical gas piping containing 5 area valve service units (valve boxes), various alarms, 2 horizontal bed head units (BHU’s) in the TB ward and 5 vertical BHU’s in the newly constructed ICU ward. In total 38 oxygen and 19 medical air and 19 vacuum terminal units/point were installed. Medical devices were also supplied which included oxygen flow meters, oxygen & medical air gas probes and suction controllers.
