Intaka Technology Namibia has a Gas Generation System (GGS) on site at Rundu’s existing State Hospital which supplies medical oxygen to the Hospital. The hospital recently underwent expansions to include the New Rundu Maternity Hospital, where the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) awarded the tender to Intaka Technology Namibia to supply various medical equipment and related pipeline systems.
The project installations included a duplex vacuum plant, duplex anaesthetic gas scavenging system, duplex medical air compressors, a medical gas piping system of just over 1250m, 6 medical gas and vacuum alarm panels and two gas banks comprising of oxygen (2 x 8 manifold) and nitrous oxide (2 x 3 manifold). A further 28 vertical bed head units were installed in various wards and 4 theatre pendants (2 surgical, 2 anaesthetic) where installed in operating theatres 1 and 2.
Intaka Technology Namibia has been requested to supply a GGS-040 and has submitted a proposal to the MoHSS.
