Intaka Tech is engaged in the development, manufacturing and sale of water purification equipment and on site gas generation systems for oxygen and nitrogen. Intaka Tech aims to help our clients overcome their challenges in these areas and meet the needs of their communities. Intaka Tech has over 200 units operating throughout Africa, providing clean drinking water to many areas as well as oxygen and Medical Air to central and rural hospitals.
With this spirit of bettering lives in mind and admiring the effort of the Intaka Tech staff in our second charity drive on Mandela Day this year, Mr. Rodrigo Savoi, CEO of Intaka Tech, said that he wanted Intaka Tech to make a real difference to someone’s life. As a result of research, we came across The KiDS Foundation – www.kidsfoundation.co.za – established in 1994 by an educator and business man. The KiDS Foundation offers scholarships to girls and boys from underprivileged backgrounds to attend some of the best Cape Town High Schools from Grade 8 to Matric. The KiDS Foundation is very well-established and it has strict criteria for applications, including requirements to meet certain grades and a disciplinary code of conduct which must be adhered to. The KiDS Foundation also organises training and workshops outside of school hours for the pupils. We subsequently met with Lynne Munnik and Tessa Smit to find out more about The KiDS Foundation and to fill them in on Intaka Tech and why we are interested in their Foundation.
On 17th November 2013, Intaka Tech made an initial donation of R25,000 towards a Scholarship for The KiDS Foundation. Together, Intaka Tech and The KiDS Foundation, decided to place a deserving candidate at Wynberg Girls’ High School. The candidate is due to commence Grade 8 at Wynberg Girls’ High School in January 2014.
Intaka Tech is so honoured to be able to work with The KiDS Foundation in support of such a worthy cause.
